DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
JOB TITLE: Maintenance Mechanic
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical (troubleshooting AC/DC circuitry, 480VA/3 phase), hydraulic, welding, pneumatic and mechanical power transmission equipment; disassemble and reassemble complex mechanical components. Performs a variety of alignment procedures and make appropriate adjustments. Operate basic machine shop equipment such as lathes, milling machines, drills, saws, pipe wrench, etc. Must be able to fabricate new parts, reproduce/modify existing parts and tooling. Performs various welding with variety of metals. Look for ways to improve efficiency and safety and make recommendations. Other responsibilities include trouble shooting, light electrical, other tasks as identified.
Requirements:
Must have maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; understanding of electrical, mechanical, mathematical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic concepts. Must have experience in blueprint reading, safe work habits, and good judgment to fix problems. Must be able to work with little supervision. Must have proven work record that demonstrates competence, quick response, innovation, and safety.
Candidates must be willing to work any shift, overtime as needed, open to career advancement. Must meet minimum standards on pre-employment assessments.
LEVEL: To be determined based on experience [Maintenance Mechanic A - $20.49]
Employee attendance record will be considered part of overall performance record in the awarding of position.
